Numbness and tingling before CTS and after since 2013

I had numbness and tingling before and after my CTS on 7-31-2013. After the surgery my scars were very painful and the doctor said to use SCAR AWAY, which seemed to help. however the numbness and tingling got worst, the dr. tried shots in my wrist on both hands which did not work either, never relived any symptoms at all. The doctor had me try pills to dull the pins and needles which it did not. I have constant pins and needles and numbness 24 hrs aday since my surgery. I had mentioned to my doctor before surgery that I formed Keyloids. He is recommending another surgery which I really don't want because of my Keyloids am I wrong in this or should I think about another surgery. I try to keep a positive attitude about what I am dealing with, but at times I say I wish I could cut my hands off (Which I never would do) but that is how stressful it gets for me. Can anyone help me?

The first thing we need to start trying to sort that out are your nerve conduction study results from before and after surgery - did you have tests and do you know the results? JB

Jeremydpbland I am having a bad time I typed info to you with all figures and findings and I was almost done. I guess I hit the wrong button, so I tried again with just the summary of the report and did the exact same thing. I am so stressed right now. Could I email you the info or perhaps mail copies to you. Or maybe I can try retyping another day. Right now my pointers and thumbs are not doing so well. Thank you for answering me. Please advise me .

I'm sorry about that. You are welcome to email things to me - the address is in the contacts page of the site. If you have a scanner, or even a phone with a decent camera nowadays, you can scan reports and attach them to email. I wouldn't put anything with your ID on it in the forum though - no reason to encourage identity theft. JB

I emailed you copies of my reports.

Thankyou for those. The post-operative studies probably show a grade 1 right CTS in my terms (the grading is described on a page of the site if you are interested). It is a pity we do not have the pre-operative ones but it sounds as though there may have been some deterioration in the right side. We now need a detailed description of the symptoms before and after surgery and how they have changed in type or intensity. JB
