No improvement in right hand

Since end of July I have been wearing the brown tendon/ligament stretchers on both hands religiously each night.
My left hand (Grade 1 cts) has improved somewhat.
However my right hand (Grade 2 cts) which is my main use hand, has not. I am still experiencing numbness and tingling when I hold phone or book. In addition I have found on several occasions, when I wake up, that my right hand fingers are actually numb!

Therefore I am asking please to have a steroid injection in my right hand by Dr Warrilow at the Charing practice where I am a patient.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly

Thanking you

Yes I'm happy for Dr Warrilow to do that for you. If you book it by calling the SIPC offie (from contacts here) he will be credited for doing it and will provide me with some follow-up infomration 6 weeks later. JB

Thank you Dr Bland.

I have now found number to ring under site map so will ring them today, in order to contact Dr Warrilow. Presumably he will then contact me, in order to arrange appointment for me to have steroid injection? Hopefully this will help somewhat as my hands do feel like a bunch of bananas especially first thing in the morning.

Is there any correlation between arthritis in hands and cts?

Thank you

The SIPC office should be able to set you up an appointment with Dr Warrilow directly I hope. it is generally taught that CTS is more common in arthritic hands but in fact the evidence to support that, especially for osteoarthritis, is a bit flimsy. It is probably more of an issue with other forms of arthritis such as rheumatoid and gout. JB
