Post Minor Op

Hello Dr Bland,
I had the minor op on 12th May at Faversham which I thought, and hoped, had gone well. However, for the last three days I have acute pain in my wrist, below my thumb pad, is pain usual at this stage of recovery? It does feel like the pain I experienced with the carpal tunnel. If the procedure has not been successful, is there any further treatment open to me after the scar has fully healed?

No, nothing unusual. A new problem connected with CTS? It feels just like it did prior to the op.

Might be a matter of the wrist reconfiguring itself after the cutting of the transverse carpal ligament. If it persists like this for a couple of weeks I'll re-test and scan it to see what's happening. Keep me posted. JB
Most problems with surgery show up as symptoms never improving at all after the operation so a new symptom a month afterwards sounds like a new problem. Have you done anything unusual with it in the last week? JB
