Questionnaires

Hi, I have completed the questionnaire prior to coming for an appointment next week. Some of the functioning questions did not cover some of the things that I have trouble with but I appreciate these are individual to me. Strange things such as pushing a pushchair, buttoning up poppers cause me to have symptoms in my left hand. Also some occupation specific activities which cause symptoms are when I am taking blood and suturing which I have great difficulty with.
Interesting - one would expect symptoms generaly to be exacerbated by activities which increase the carpal tunnel pressure or decrease the blood pressure at the wrist. The mechanics of the hand/wrist are actually fairly complex and we can discuss this when I see you. The ADL questions on the site here are a standard instrument ad are not designed to capture everything which might aggravate the symptoms - only to get a standardised measure of subjective severity.
