appointment for intinjection

Goodmorning,

I've just received a phone calling for taking appointment for my injection.
It would be at the end of April in Canterbury, or if earlier outside the city (20 min away by train) at the end of march.
Wonder if it would be possible in Canterbury or I have to travel to get it done?

thanks and regards

We can do them for you this Thursday (15th March), if you drop in to the clinic sometime between 9:30 and noon. Don't drive here - just in case they are uncomfortable afterwards and you are unable to drive back home - though most patients do not have significant problems after injection. JB

thank you it would be perfect. Do have I to call or take appointment with someone?

ps I'm still doing all the duties as kitchen porter (lifting up heavy trais, carring heavy things such hubs, moving machines etc...) since the 6th March when I had the visit with you. It would be a problem on the day of the injection?

No just turn up. The person who does them for me is here until about 12:00 noon - tell the reception window you have come for an injection. I would plan on taking the rest of the day off work but if you are someone who tolerates injection well you may be able to go straight back to work - all a matter of luck with these injections I think. Goodmorning.

since yesterday evening my wrists are not very flexible. I fell like are not very stretched when I pull them and this cause me a sort of "pain" like when a muscle is not flexible and you force it.
it is happening after I did an activity such as working with the pc, ironing and light house work

thanks and regards

I'm not too worried about that at present, we'll see if it persists over the next few days. How are the original CTS symptoms doing? JB

ok, should have I to do something at work (lifting up and moving heavy thing....)?

I'll check in the morning if I have some numbness or else

It sounds as though it is improving yes? It would be worth repeating the questionnaire on here two weeks after injection to see how the scores are changing. It will only repeat the final part so it should only take about 5 minutes. JB

for sure is getting better but this morning I woke up with this so I was updating and wondering if I have to be worried

No I would not worry about it as long as the symptoms overall are improving. JB

Goodmorning Mr Bland.

I am writing you to report about the current situation after 1 month from the injection.

The situation is much much better and no pain as when the problem arise, however I am not sure I went through the problem completely.

thanks and regards

It is probably worth doing a new severity questionaire here on the website so that we can see how much change there has been in the subjective symptoms. JB

the current situation is really mild, no pain or numbness for long period so the result it will be extremely low, however stillnot go through the problem completely.

Even if the subjective scores are all '1' - ie no symptoms, it is still worth documenting that that is the case. So far as further actions are concerned, if you are reasonably happy with the current state of the hands we can afford to simply await developments. If, on the other hand, the residual symptoms are enough of a nuisance that you want something done about them then we will look into further treatment - it's very much your choice at this point. JB

ok I'll do the test again. how can I start a new one? if I click "start the questionaire" it report me the old one

Go to 'My CTS' - My CTS record, and then select the option - 'take a new severity test' - JB

Sounds good so far to me. Unless you have particular symptoms now which are still a problem I think we wait to see what happens for a while. Just let me know when it starts to become more of a problem again. JB
