Hello Dr. Bland. My last injection on the 26th July went well and was painfree. However, for the last two weeks or so I've been getting a numb hand if I'm on the phone for more than ten minutes, this isn't a problem as I can just change hands but indicates that the injection is begining to wear off. Yesterday I started plastering my wall, thankfully I'm doing a rustic finish and can do a small bit at a time, because almost as soon as I started I had bad pain in the heal of my hand, the bit between my thumb and my wrist and tingling numbness in my other fingers. I also had numbness in my hand last night. I am worried that this is only now going to get worse now, especially as I can't afford to pay someone to do the plastering and decorating that needs to be done. This building is my lifes dream and my daily work when I'm here in France. So I'm wondering if there is any chance of getting another injection when I come to England on the 1st November. I will only be there for a week, so I realise it's a tall order, but thought I'd ask all the same. I could come anytime after 11.30am on Friday 2nd November and 5pm on wednesday the 7th November. Other wise I will have to grin and bear it until probably after Christmas when I'll be back for the winter.
Thanks Sophia

We can test it agaain first thing in the morning on Monday 5th November (9:00 am) and I've made an appointment then. I may or may not be able to inject it I'm afraid. JB

Thank you, I have marked it in my diary and will be there at 9.00 am on Monday the 5th November. However, it has been a bit better these last two days as I've not been working, I'm doing the plastering again next week so it will be interesting to see how it is afterwards. I was a bit worried about using it until I knew you would be able to see me.

I can't help feeling that the most cost effective treatment for your CTS might be to get a plasterer. I'll see you in November. JB

Hello Dr. Bland, It's a long while since I wrote on this forum. After I last wrote to you my symptoms improved a great deal, so much so that I phoned to cancel my appointment in November. This improvement may well be due to the fact that I didn't do much work on my building project. My symptoms are not too bad at the moment, however, I am begining to be woken in the night again, it's not too bad but as I am just about to go back to France after a long spell in the UK and I am wondering if it would be good to get it checked out before I go. When I'm in France it is usually worse than when I'm in the UK due to the work I do, but as well as that I always get a bit panicky due to being so far away and knowing that I may have to wait months before I can get to see you. However I am planning to go to France on either the 3rd or the 10th March, which doesn't leave much time, so it might better to wait and see how it goes until I come back July. I would be pleased to know what you think. I must also say that I'm amazed at the improvement I've experienced since my second injection. Sophia

We can probably squeeze something in before the 3rd March but I am out of the office at present so I will ask the staff to take a look and se what we can do. JB
