Excruciating wrist/hands pain,Numbnes,Tingling and Weakness

I have been experiencing intense pains,numbness,tingling sensation and weakness on my wrists and hands(palms )since February 2022. I initially put it down to the cold weather and applied balm, hot towels ,exercises and painkillers (paracetamol and ibrufen). The symptoms keep getting worse despite the warm weather in the past weeks. I struggle to use my laptop for work and to carry out basic household chores. The symptoms are usually worse in the evenings through the nights ,and remain throughout the day although at a more manageable level. I am afraid to become addicted to painkillers and need help please !
