Questionnaire

I just filled out your questionnaire, then was forced to create an account. And where are the results of filling in the questionnaire? Oh no, I must complete it again! Poor, very, very, poor, and disappointing.

How do I de-register from this thing?

It should give you the result on completion of the questionnaire even if you have not created an account. We designed it originally so that it could be used wholly anonymously if people wished. I've just checked and it is not doing this at present for some reason - that is a bug which I will get fixed, probably introduced when we had to increase security on the site because of unwanted traffic from spammers. At least your score is there now and indicates a relatively low likelihood of CTS. I can delete the account for you if you wish. JB

Thank you for your response, particularly out of hours.

What is the scale of the scores, please?

I was hoping this might explain the pain in my wrist when using my thumb, for example when pulling socks on.

The Levine severity scales, sometimes known as the SSS and FSS can range from 1-5 with 1 being no symptoms and 5 the worst symptoms. They are a measure of the subjective severity of your problem but not entirely specific for CTS. The percentage score in the results (of which there are two) is the probability of CTS. There are two because we use two different mathematical methods to work them out. The more traditional one generates a probability between 0 and 1 - or 0-100% but the neural network can actually give a probability <0% or >100%. It's probably best to take such extreme scores as effectively 1% or 99%. A couple of people have asked this recently and I might have to add a more detailed explanation, preferably on the results page I think. JB
