I haven't seen you for three years I see. It looks from the SSS/FSS scores as though it is more the left hand than the right now, but that there are still significant problems with the right hand. We should see you again and see if we can throw any light on what is going on and I'll organise an appointment but I'm having a week without clinics to deal with some research next week so appointments are a bit tight - I'll see what we can do though. Hi Dr Bland
Its the 12th April 2018 i have recently been back to the doctors to discuss the trouble im having with my right hand again ,i am in 9/10 pain every day, in the side of my wrist and tingling back in my fingers and sometimes up my arm.
My wrist is very weak and gives way on me all time and locks in place making it very painful,it wakes me up at night even though i wear my splint .
My Dr for Musgrove sent me to Dr Kelly from kingsnorth and he has refered me back to you for another electodes test .

is it best to ring to arrange an appointment or through here or just wait for it to come through the post.

Many thanks Julie Norris

No need to wait for referral. I'll organise an appointment directly, though I have a couple of conferences coming up so it will take a few weeks to find  space I think. Last time we looked at this I thought most of the problems with the right hand were side effects of surgery but there has been a gap of 2 years + since then, during which I haven't heard much. I don't think we even heard the result of the last left side injection. JB

Thank you so much i received my appointment today ,you are fantastically prompt at getting things done.

The left hand is pretty much ok unless i over use it maybe i just need some muscle strengthening! , but the right has become very unbearable i don't believe its just returning CTS although i am experiencing some of them symptoms because it doesn't feel like it did before i had the surgery,
The pain is more in my wrist and inflamed as i end up with a big lump by the end of the day, my knuckles on top of my hand hurt and when i stretch my hand i get shooting pains all through my hand, sometimes when i wear my wrist splint at night the pressure it puts on the side part is so painful i have to take a ibuprofen to get to sleep, loss of strength, locking in place (i thought i would jot the symptoms down on here incase i fail to mention them on the day )

I think we did come to the conclusion that there was side affects from surgery which i lived with for a while but as they worsen im sad to feel i may have this pain for the next 40 years,to which i went back to my GP first to see if they could sort the pain but they just refered me back to you as your the best, as i think Dr Kelly wanted to rule out returning CTS complicating the situation first

I now remember you asking me to be in touch about the left but as it completely settled down i forgot to give you an update so apologies for this.

I really appreciate you you making me an appointment so quickly i will see you on then

Many Thanks Julie Norris

It does rather sound as though we may be facing a mixture of different problems but we'll do our best to figure out what's what. JB
