Splints no longer enough

Dear Dr. Bland
I have been using my splints at night since my last appointment with you but in the last week they have not worked. I have woken in the morning with such an intense pain in my left hand that I could not open it! It is better without using them at all, but every day I have weakness in both hands and pain and numbness when either are raised for even a short time.
Hope you can help.
We should definitely test that again and see how bad it is. As with the other patient on the forum today if you can make it to the department early next Tuesday morning I can probably fit you both in between 8:30 and 9:00 am. JB
