Afternoon Dr Bland.
I've done an updated questionnaire as GP requested due to pain in both wrists have got considerably worse especially during the day. My GP has put me on Amitriptyline for the pain . I'm using splints during the night and have started compression gloves for the day to try and relieve the pain.
Many thanks

That's a blast from the past, we haven't seen you since 2013! Back then we didn't find any evidence of CTS. Has the character of the symptoms changed or it it just a more intense version of the same thing now? JB

Morning !! I've finally found a Doctor that wants to listen rather than just give me pain killers.
The pain has got considerably worse especially with the numbness. I'm constantly rubbing my hands and wrists to try to get rid of the feeling of pins and needles or the numbness.
Would love your help/advice as I feel I'm going round in circles and fed up of the pain.

Back in 2013 you didn't get symptoms that woke you in the middle of the night, is that happening now? The other thing that might have changed is which fingers are most affected. Try touching each finger lightly with a pin and a bit of cotton wool and see if you can tell whether the sense of touch is more abnormal in some fingers than others. JB

It wakes me a few times with the pins and needles and started to be like a constant toothache annoying pain especially my right side. My left is pins and needles but not as bad. With the touch on my right-side it's all my fingers feel dead and like when you have a dead leg ..... if that makes sense. Left-sided it's my thumb and trigger finger that's abnormal but started to go to the middle finger. The pins and needles feeling is permanently in both wrists but right-side is definitely the worst.

That is sounding a bit more like CTS now than it did in 2013 so we should see you again and I'll send out a new appointment. Are you still at the same address? JB
