3 Months after injections

It is now 3 months since I had my injections in both wrists. I had a wonderful result all symptoms disappeared in both hands;
That result has now changed with tingling, pins and needles and numbness returning to both hands. My right hand is very much worse than the left as I am now constantly taking ibuprofen and paracetamol every 4 hours as in this hand I have pains which go right up my arm and into my shoulder. With out these tablets I am unable to function as my right arm is useless. I am not really sure if my shoulder pain is carpal tunnel associated or not but the fact that it goes right down to my wrist an keeps me awake at night makes that a possibility. It was left that I should return to your clinic if the symptoms return and this I should like to do if this pain in my right arm and wrist does no go away as at the moment i am disabled.

Thank you very much for your reply Dr Bland. Regarding surgery I realize now that I do not have a choice I could not live with this pain as I said I am taking 400MG Ibuporfen along with 1000mg paracetamol every 4 hours at the moment yet I am still in constant pain the tablets just ease it off a bit. I am away at the moment and not having to work so you might think resting should help but seems to make no difference. The pins and needles and numbness in my right hand occur mainly at night but the pain since Sunday has been constant. I return to the UK 19th September so yes I would be happy to try another injection and discuss the surgery option.

How do you feel about surgery now. We discussed it last time but it wasn't convenient for you then. Given the severity of the current symptoms I think I might be inclined to inject a second time immediately as a quick fix but at the time we do that we could have a discussion about whether to book you a surgery slot. What do you think? JB
