Updated Questionnaire
As prompted by email, I have completed a new questionnaire following surgery in August.
My left hand (which was operated on) has improved considerably. I do still have a small amount of swelling and scar tenderness but, as this is improving slowly, I am sure that it is just a matter of time before it goes away completely. I have some numbness in the finger tips but I no longer have any tingling at all in that hand - a huge relief!
However I am in a quandary about what to do about the right hand. The symptoms are returning slowly and I think I would like to have surgery on this hand (if possible) in due course. As the left hand tested at 5 before surgery I am keen not to let the other hand get to that stage. Do you have any advice please?
Yes I think that would be the best solution thank you. Do I need to have more tests first or could we go straight to surgery.
Thanks for your prompt response as usual.
I've booked you a slot for surgery in mid-January, and I've also scheduled a repeat of your tests for a coupe of weeks in advance of that so that we have an up to date set of results before anyone takes a knife to the wrist. I'll put all that in the post. JB
Many thanks - the letters have arrived in the post this morning.
Thank you again for your prompt action and I'll see you in January.
I think the obvious thing to do would be to go ahead and get surgery booked for the right side - would you like us to set it up? - proably January now. JB
