Just an update on my progress of my carpal tunnel symptoms. Having worn the wrist splints for about a week at night only they did help but not totally eradicate the problem and I found them uncomfortable. I received a cancellation appointment for the steroid injection for 19 August at Charing surgery with Doctor Warrilow who was very good in explaining what was to happen and the outcome. The injections were totally painless and as Doctor Warrilow had said after 2 - 3 days the symptoms have been resolved and appear to be successful to which I am very grateful for.
Thankyou for the update. There should be a planned follow-up assessment 6 weeks after injection. After that please contact us directly if and when symptoms start to recur. I'll move this to the Canterbury patients forum in a day or two JB
