injections
Dear Dr Bland,
I realise that I had my CT tested by your team about a year and half ago and tests came out ok, but the morning tingling and night time awakening to numbness has returned in both hands. Especially when holding a book in bed or driving. I was wondering whether you would be willing to prescribe a steroid injection in each hand, as few years ago when my left hand was treated in this way, it made all symptoms go away for a good few years. And, if yes, are there any risks involved in injecting both hands at same time. Or would it be better to do them separately seeing as I am a wheelchair user and need my hands at all times?
Many thanks.
Imola
Hi just wondering if I could get an ulnar nerve test as well as CT, as my wrists hurts , but also my elbows sometimes.
I would very much appreciate it.
Many thanks.
We usually use the ulnar nerve for comparison with the median so yes we can check that too. JB
We will send you out a new appointment to retest your nerves and we can then discuss treatment options. We do quite often inject both wrists at the same time, occasionally after injection hands can become painful for a day or two but this is not very common. EK
