Injection appointment
Dear Dr Bland,
Following my recent CP check up, scan and chat with practitioner Emma, was wondering if it was possible at all to be sent an appointment for steroid injections in both wrists, seeing as this has helped my nightly numbness in the hands and pain on repetitive movement before.

I think I will need someone to drive me home after the injections, as I am a wheelchair user and use hand controls to drive. My husband is off work from the 21st of December to the 3rd of January if you could squeeze me in for an appointment, or perhaps schedule me at Estuary View Medical Centre in Whitstable?

I am afraid those are the dates I am on leave too. I will refer you to SIPC (surgery in primary care) who make the bookings at Estuary View. You can give them a call and see if they have a suitable appointment for you 0300123 4419. EK

I have spoken to SIPC and there dooesn't seem to be any dates with them either. Would it be by any chance possible to see you in Canterbury for injections on Monday, 14th of December.

Yes I should be able to fit you in on the 14th. We have a clinic on all day which means it will be quite busy and you may have to wait to be seen. If you can make it in for 0900 or soon after then you are less likely to have to wait around too long. Let me know what time suits you. EK
I have just realised that I am here on the 30th and 31st December. So if you would prefer on of those dates then that is possibly too. EK

Dear Emma, thank you very much for the smooth delivery of my steroid injections, I was perfectly fine afterwards, just to let you know.
Emma is back in the office on Monday and she can contact you to fix a suitable time then I think. JB
