Advice please
Good evening,
I had brilliant success with the injections in both my hands leaving me symptom free. Over the last week or so my right wrist has become increasingly painful, achy and weak, unfortunately I have missed laid my splints so I have been wearing a tubigrip bandage for the last couple of days which appears to be helping. I put it down to a strain but now my other wrist is feeling slightly the same. I'm wondering could this be my carpal tunnel returning? I didn't have this symptom before just numbness, however I did wake up with a numb hand last night and that hasn't happened since my injections took effect.

Thank you very much, will I get that through the post?
How can I check you have my correct address Doctor Bland?

Yes I usually send out postal appointments rather than publish appointments to the rest of the world here on the website. If your address has changed in the last 8 months then just email me the new one or phone (see the contacts page) and I'll update the records. JB
Good morning, I went to see my Doctor yesterday and mentioned my wrist, she thinks its a soft tissue injury, she wants me to wait 2 weeks wearing the tubigrip and taking ibuprofen then go back if it isn't any better to probably arrange an MRI scan. Do you still want to see me?

The way I see it you can never have too much information in managing CTS so yes I would be curious to know how your NCS results are changing, or not as the case may be. Seeing me is a lot cheaper than an MRI! JB
That could well be the CTS returning, though there are other possibilities. The symptoms often seem to a be a little different on relapse after first injection. Your CTS had deteriorated a bit between 2012 and 2015 so even though it's only 8 months since we saw you I think we might test you again and see what's going on with nerve function. I'll organise an appointment - though Xmas is getting in the way of appointments at present. JB
