Patient feedback on carpal tunnel medical information
Hi
I hope you do not mind me posting here, I was wondering if I could ask your help as patients with experience of carpal tunnel syndrome. We write the medical topics that are published on the NICE CKS website here: http://cks.nice.org.uk/#?char=A.
The topics are written for doctors and other healthcare professionals working in primary care, and are used both as a learning resource and as a point-of care resource during patient consultations.
We would like to involve patients in the development of our topics to ensure that the needs of the patient are being appropriately considered, we want to promote effective communication between the doctor and patient and ensure that appropriate treatment, support and care is being offered.
We are currently planning an update to our carpal tunnel syndrome topic, the current version can be seen here: http://cks.nice.org.uk/carpal-tunnel-syndrome#!righttopic.
If you think you might like to be involved in this process, please contact me at nina [dot] thirlway [at] clarity [dot] co [dot] uk.
Thank you for reading,
Nina
I hope you get some responses to this Nina and I have no objection to this call for help sitting here in the forum. You might also try posting a message on patient.co.uk and perhaps in the facebook group 'I survived carpal tunnel syndrome' which both get quite a lot of traffic from patients. I'll take a look at the current CKS pages myself in a bit. It's a while since I last looked at them (I think I do have a link from the links page here). JB
