Repeat Injection?

Hi Jeremy,
I had a steroid injection to my right wrist several years ago which was a massive help. Over the last year, my pain has gradually increased again. Is it possible to arrange a further injection?
My left hand which, when tested was not too bad and was not injected at the time my right hand was is much more painful than previously. I have a similar pain/sensation in this hand as the right hand. I also have pain across the back of my hand. I am not sure if it is Carpal Tunnel or something else. I have difficulty making a fist with my left hand too so any advice on this would be great.
My apologies for such a long post.

Debbie

That injection was February 2013 so that hand has done quite well with steroids hasn't it. I think we would be happy to try a second injection but only as long as there has not been a dramatic deterioration in nerve function. For that reason I like to check the nerve conduction studies again when there has been a long gap like this. If it's OK with you I will send out another appointment (you have not moved?), and as long as it's not worse than grade 3 we will re-inject at the same visit - probably both sides by the sound of it. Brilliant, thanks. Yes, the initial injection has done well.
I am still at the same address and look forward to the appointment letter.
Thanks again.

OK - we've sent out a letter in this morning's post. JB
