Trigger finger

Dear Dr Bland, I think I have developed trigger finger in the ring finger of my right hand. I have read the info on this website about it. I had CTS surgery 3 years ago in the same hand. Are you able to advise on this or do I need to see my GP?

Hi, my right hand surgery for CTS has been successful. I have had very few problems with it until this trigger finger started a few weeks ago. I was seen about my left hand and it was felt to be to do with the previous wrist fracture. No treatment was needed and it resolved itself. Thanks.

Glad they both turned out OK. They should be able to fix the trigger digit fairly easily too. JB
I'm afraid we don't do trigger digits in the CTS clinic so you will have to go through your GP. Some practices can deal with them in-house. Did we ever succeed in getting a hand surgery opinion about your left hand?... and how is the right CTS doing now overall? JB
