It depends what you want to do with the hand and is also pretty variable anyway so I can't give a hard and fast answer but in an average case you should be using the hand for light activities (dressing/eating etc) within 48-72 hours, driving by 10-14 days, and bricklaying by about 4-6 weeks. JB
