I was given a splint on 30th June but the pain is just getting worse it has not helped me at all
At the moment I'm willing to try anything to take the pain away, what time tomorrow?

Hi just to let you know the injection I had has not helped at all my pain just keeps getting worse to the point I can't even get out of bed. So much pain in my arm hand and neck.
So overall the evidence that this is something other than CTS is beginning to pile up I'm afraid.This is going to need a wider assessment by either orthopaedics, rheumatology or neurology. I'll look at the records we have so far in the morning and try to work out how best to proceed. JB
I've looked at everything we have so far and I think if anyone is going to operate on your wrist for CTS - something that, given what we have seen so far will be something of an experiment in itself - it should be one of the specialist hand surgeons so I will arrange for you to see one of them. It's also possible that they may pick up some alternative explanation so it will be interesting to see what they think. I'll arrange an appointment for you but it is liable to take a few weeks, JB
Thank you so much for all your help I've been to my doctors over and over again and feel like I'm getting know where they just keep giving me more and more painkillers that dont get read of the pain at all the pain is so bad I can't even get out of bed
I think we are still unsure whether this is really CTS or not. The next thing we could try as an experiment is a local steroid injection. That is safe enough to try out as a test of whether the symptoms respond or not. We could probably do that tomorrow (Thursday). What do you think? JB
