need a recommendation for a good doctor's office in the US
I found this site and it is very helpful, I was wondering if there are any suggestions for good hand Dr. in the United States. I live in Albany, Georgia and I would be willing to travel. I have what seems like carpal tunnel in both hands,, and I have had 2 surgeries on my right hand with no improvement. my hands get worse the more I use them, so trying to find some solution.
I see a couple accredited laboratories with exemplary status in Atlanta Georgia. https://www.aanem.org/Practice/EDX-Laboratory-Accreditation/Find-an-Accr... do you think these would be as good as the ones you mentioned? If it won't make a difference I would rather choose one in Atlanta. I can go to North Carolina if I need to.
Is this the one at wake forest you were talking about?

I don't personally know the Atlanta ones but AANEM accredittion is a fairly good marker that they know what they are doing. The Wake Forest group (yes that is them) have produced lots of good work on CTS and are also leading authorities on nerve ultrasound imaging so they can do not only the neurology and neurophysiology but also imaging studies. sorry to bother you again. Do you have any recommendations for places located in these states? these are the only states compatible with my insurance.
Arkansas
Arizona
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
Massachusetts
Mississippi
Missouri
New Hampshire
Nevada
Ohio
Texas
Washington
That's quite a spread round the USA isn't it. The only one that rings a bell is Missouri and my acquaintance there is more orientated towards paediatric neurology. The AANEM accredited lab list is probably the best recommendation. JB
Try to get some diagnosis done by someone who is a member of the American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) - preferably in an accredited laboratory. I know a handful of people in the USA personally but it's such a big country that it doesn't help much - the groups at Wake Forest North Carolina and Duke University South Carolina are probably the nearest to Georgia
