Still suffering after cortinsone injection

I've been a suffering of Carpel tunnel for several years..I got diagnosed via gp and prescribed naproxen. They did he at first but I'd say in the last couple of years I've suffered more. I had cortisone injection over two years ago which at the time relieved syptoms but gradually wore off. I had it re done again last Nov bit since they symptoms seem a lot worse. Come night time my had feels so weak and tight. Movememt is very restricted and my little finger get numb.
I've also been experiencing pain jist above my left shoulder blade and when I rotate my shoulder it grinds.
Could this be linked?

It's possible to get pain all the way up the arm from CTS but grinding of the shoulder joint is likely to be a local problem at the shoulder and numbness of the little finger is more usually a sign of trouble with the ulnar nerve at the elbow rather than CTS. Steroid injection can be repeated several times but the effect each time can be fairly random with some working well and others less so. You should really have some nerve conduction studies of both the median and ulnar nerves done do that we can see exactly how much nerve injury we are dealing with. JB

Thank you for your response...from now reading up on ulnar nerve damage the syptoms seem very similar to what I'm experiencing...
The grinding is around my trapizpus muscle. I have pain all around the area surrounding it. I sometimes get arm, neck and jaw pain too.

My guess from the description would be that the shoulder problem is probably not a symptom of the CTS but as I said, the first step here should be to get some nerve conduction studies done and see exactly what peripheral nerve problems there are in the arm. JB
