It's not very likely to be carpal tunnel syndrome but there are a couple of things I would like to know a bit more detail on: first of all, who are the other affected family members in relation to you and roughly what age were they when carpal tunnel syndrome was diagnosed. Secondly when was the steroid injection performed, who did it, do we know what dose and type of steroid they used, where exactly did they inject, and was there even a short-lived response to the injection? Thirdly, you have seen an orthopaedic surgeon about it - who was it? JB
