Do I have CTS?
Thank you, Dr Bland, for seeing me at your clinic today. This is a very useful and informative website too. I have completed the questionnaire now which perhaps helps - my score is however low as you will see (<2). My question is - do you think I have CTS or is it something else?
I have postponed my appointment with Mr Smith as I think you said you would write to him? Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks.
We are hoping to have you up to Kings next Friday for further testing. I left the details with the admin staff there. Other than that we need a neurology appointment, which depends on East Kent administration and waiting lists but I will try to keep you informed of what is happening when I know anything. JB
Thank you. I have some wasting on my right leg too, which I had not previously noticed - my daughter, an OT, checked it for me. Just hoping is not MND. Assume I will be contacted by letter about Friday.
Kings are more likely to phone about Friday, if they can fit it in, as the post may not make it in time. I don't have your telephone number though. We can take a look at the right leg when we next meet - finding your case in the middle of the carpal tunnel clinic meant we had rather limited time this week, though we did what we could. JB
I am as certain as I can be that this is not CTS so it is kind of reassuring that your score on the symptom questionnaire here is very low. I am going to arrange for you to come up to King's College Hospital so that we can check further into the neurophysiology and Mr Smith will, I am sure, be arranging a neurological referral. JB
