Hi Dr Bland

I had the injections on the 16th of February 2012 and have not had any numbness or pain in either hand. Two weeks ago my right hand started getting numb again and the pains have returned. It is possible to have a second injection? Please. Kind regards, Lorna

So that was a very good response to steroids but rather short-lived at 3 months. I would usually prefer to leave 6 months between injections but we can re-test it and have a direct discussion about the pros and cons of early re-injection if you like. I will try to find you a Thursday morning appointment in a few weeks when I am next in the office. JB

I seem to be pretty much booked up for the next few Thursdays - at least as far as nerve conduction testing slots go. If you want to drop in next week near the start of the clinic though we can talk over the issues involved with early re-injection and possible inject it for you if you decide that is what you want to do. If someone fails to turn up or cancels we might be able to fit in a test too. JB

Between about 8:45 and 9:30 would be best. JB

Morning Dr Bland. Had a completely pain and numbness free nights sleep :). Thank you for fitting me in and for the 2nd injection. Besides my wrist being a bit tender yesterday, no problems at all! Kind regards to you both, Lorna
