effects of local anaesthetic after decompression

i had a decompression at the K & C yesterday afternoon and I am concerned that the local anaesthetic has not worn off yet. I have no feeling at all in my index, middle and ring finger; there is some return of feeling in my thumb and my little finger is back to how it was before surgery. there is some tingling every now and then and a little pain at the site. Is this normal or should i be concerned?
I have no swelling and have been keeping the hand elevated.
I wouldn't worry about it for a few days as long as the circulation seems to be OK in those fingers - ie they are warm and reasonably pink. Let me know how they feel round about the 16th/17th. JB
