Post-Operation

Hello.
I had a carpal tunnel operation 10 weeks ago. My hand has got better and I have feeling back in my fingers etc although they can be a bit tingly at times.
The problem I am having is I seem to have a hardish lump on the bottom of my palm. I am not sure if this is normal? Or if it will go away. It is still quite sensitive and sore.

It's quite common for the area either side of the scar to become rather hard and lumpy. It does usually settle down in time. People recommend vigorous massage but I'm not sure that there is any concrete evidence that it helps -on the other hand it is unlikely to do any harm. JB
