Please update your severity score test on here whilst logged in. Let us know once you have done this. What response did you get to the treatment provided in April? EK

Hi
Treatment in April for my left wrist was 100% successful. Thank you. My right wrist is now the worse it has ever been, I cannot sleep at night as the pain runs form my finger tips to my elbow. I am also experiencing nerve pain ( sharp shock like pains ) during the day. Will complete the severity test now. Thank you

What was the new drug? JB

Anastrozole ( oestrogen blocker) previously Letrozole. I have now gone back to the letrozole as the change did not seem to give any of the suggested benefits

OK both of those are likely to exacerbate CTS. The effect has been best documented for exemestane but these drugs all work in much the same way and probably have similar effects on CTS. I've put a new appointment with us in the post. JB

Good morning , I have received an appointment for the 10th Aug, I am begging for an earlier one please, i am now waking up at night with stabbing pains, I have shock like pains in 2 fingers, pain up to my elbow and now cannot use that hand. I cannot sleep and I am really worried that I will not be able to drive soon . I can no longer use my right hand for any personal hygiene acts. I am living on a few hours sleep every night and am carer for my parents who live with us ( one with cancer and the other has Parkinson's) not a sob story just really cant cope with the pain until August. If there is any possibility i will be eternity grateful. Kimberley

I am currently taking Naproxen for the pain, is there anything else you can recommend for the pain ? I wear a splint and am using an ice pack ?

Unfortunately the only things known to work for CTS are splints, steroids and surgery. I have been away this week so appointment availability has been limited and I've been a bit slow to check the website I'm afraid but it looks as though we got you in on the 28th July. JB
