is it possible that cts and lower back pain are linked

i have just been given splints to wear at night for cts , after two nights of wearing them my hands are a lot better (less numbness and pins and needles ).but also noticed a significant improvement in back pain ,

has anyone else experienced this sort of thing

i have a lower back problem which was treated last year with nerve block injections with only a small improvement . but did not want the undergo surgery at this point ,
i have had the cts symptoms for over two years but only just been diagnosed recently

chose splint treatment as less invasive option , as i am a bit of a coward about injections and surgery .

Perhaps not thrashing about as much at night with the hands is giving your back a bit of a rest? JB
