returning symptoms after second injection
Hello Dr Bland
I had injections for the second time in both hands in the clinic in Canterbury back in June. I am starting to get occasional symptoms again in my right hand - sometimes tingling etc in the mornings and occasionally when ironing, driving etc. I was concerned last time that my symptoms came back very quickly and you said to let you know this time as soon as I started getting any sign of symptoms returning. As this set of injections seem to have only lasted a short while (unlike the first set August - May) should I now be considering surgery? I am concerned that the symptoms will return very quickly again as they were really uncomfortable.
I look forward to your advice on this matter
Many thanks
Lindsay
Sorry I have only just logged on to read your message but I should be at home after 7 tomorrow evening (Tuesday) if that is any good. Or i am not sure if you have my work no or mobile no? - if so you can try me on wither of those at any time. Thank you.
Only have a home number for you at present. I did try a couple of times yesterday but you were of course out. I'll try to remember to call tonight. JB
Hello Dr Bland
I will ring the answerphone line today and leave my mobile and work numbers as I think you may be having difficulty contacting me about a surgery date. I know I have not been around much at home.
Lindsay
Got those numbers now thanks - I'll try to make contact after this morning's clinic. JB
The injections were the 17th May. It does sound as though we are heading in the direction of surgery. We have about a 3 month wait for surgery in primary care at present so it might be a good idea to book a surgery date now. We can then test them again sometime in the interim - can I call you tomorrow sometime (Monday)? JB
