Update
My right hand is so much better now, I still have a little trouble using the small tools when hoovering. I am symptom free at night. However, recently my right wrist has become painful, when any pressure is put on it, even if its even pressure across thr whole wrist. I don't understand why, it has not been injured in any way. It's a bit odd isn't it? Any idea's?
There is nothing to see at all!!! Press my forearm on a bad day it causes pins and needles
That's another interesting one but a bit hard to analyse without seeing exactly what 'press my forearm' means - I can think of several ways of producing pins and needles by appropriate pressure even in normal individuals. JB
If my wrist gets slightly knocked I feel pain in my wrist, I was carrying something close to me using my wrist, as my right hand was full, just the gentle pressure of a water bottle toucing my wrist caused pain. Sometimes during the day I pain, even when my hand is at rest. However at night I have no cts symptoms at night, I do get a little pain if my hand is in an awkward position, I do still have a weakness in the right wrist as well. Ant ideas?
I think you need to be able to examine the hand and forearm to get further with that to be honest. If it's bad enough to limit your activities then I'll have to take a look at it. It sounds as though the CTS element of the problem is fairly well controlled though. JB
It's a not uncommon symptom after carpal tunnel surgery but we haven't operated on yours yet! I sometimes wonder if steroid injections increase the laxity of the ligaments in the wrist and lead to a change in the mechanical response of the wrist to loading which might be responsible for pain, but that is very speculative. It seems to be a relatively rare complaint after injection compared to surgery. Of course there is no law to stop you developing something entirely different. I don't suppose there is anything to see - swelling, bruising etc?
