Hello there!
Just a quick message as regards to the appointment I am to receive from Mr Smith. How long roughly would I need to wait for that appointment?

It's very haphazard but usually his appointments come through in 2-10 weeks. When GPs make referrals the hospital works to a six week target to get people seen, or at least offered an appointment, but the same rules do not apply for consultant to consultant referrals. I can see no logic in this myself but that's the way the NHS works at present. JB
Thanks for letting me know. I usually get in about 8:30 or so - Canterbury traffic permitting - so whenever you can make it. JB
