additional symptoms
The questionnarre did not mention a 'burning sensation' as a symptom. I get a such a sensation over my whole hand during periods of pain. Also I am experiencing neck pain and aches in my elbow and upper arm. Are these typical symptoms?
I had my injection on the 25th Feb and the symptoms have reduced but not gone entirely. Also I have had some unexpected bleeding (have not had a period for 10 years). My doctor says this could be a side effect of the injection.. Have you come across this before?
You have not entered your reference number with me into the registration page of this site so I can't actually tell which patient you are. I doubt whether one local injection of triamcinolone would precipitate a recurrence of bleeding 10 years post-menopause so I would be inclined to investigate that symptom on it's own merits rather than just ascribe it to a local steroid injection - well outside my field though. A few patients do describe the symptoms as 'burning' in nature but it is not the most frequently chosen word. The English language is not very good at conveying exactly what you are feeling to another person. Aches and pains further up the arm can be a feature of CTS but can also, of course, be due to other problems occurring at the same time. JB
