Carpal - Tunnel to right hand
Hello Dr Bland . You saw my mother Pearl Baker a while ago regarding carpal tunnel in both wrists which she went on to have steroid injections . On her second visit to you, you said that if she has any further problems to contact you via this forum It now appears that the problem has come back in her right wrist only and would like some advise as to what we should do now.. Interestingly when we last looked at it the right wrist seemed to have done better than the left with injection. I did write back to her GP asking for details of the additional injection which they had given but they have never replied. Given the severity of the original CTS I would be inclined to see her again and re-test so that I know what we are dealing with. Unfortunately I am now fully booked up into February, unless we get some cancellations, so it is difficult to do this quickly. How bad are the symptoms at present? - you can semi-quantify this for me, if you can find the time, by doing the questionnaire here on the website with her - I can then compare the answers now with the previous ones.
