Advice re worsening symptoms

Previous treatment on my right hand has been great although I still have some mild issues. However my left hand is now becoming worse. I have constant pain in both hands and wrists which may be due to arthritis I know, but would this also account for the numbness in my fingers on the left hand? It's getting quite difficult to perform every day tasks now and I wonder if both hands - but especially the left hand - would benefit from more steroid injections? And if this is the case, given the length of time since last seen by you, do I have to get my GP to re-refer me?
