Nail varnish?
30 January 2013 - 10:44am
I have an appt for testing next month, and I thought I read somewhere that no nail varnish should be worn? Having checked my letter it only mentions rings/bracelets, can you please confirm as I currently have gels on my nails which I would need to have taken off.
Thanks.
Nail varnish and more complex nail 'things' are not a problem for us so leave your nails alone (though the hospital tries to stop staff wearing nail varnish on grounds of infection risk interestingly). It is worth leaving as much wrist and finger jewellery off as is reasonably possible as we will ask you to take it off for testing anyway, and if you don't bring it with you we can't lose it! We can usually work around rings which are very difficult to remove provided they are not massive. JB
