Cts issues
Since my appointment in August of last year, and subsequent wearing of my hand support, I wish to update you on my progress.
I have no wastage, weakness or pain, just intermittent tingling , numbness and stiffness .
My main issue seems to be numbness, tingling and tightness in my forearm, alternating between the top and bottom consistent with median nerve problems.
No 'bent wrist' exercises have been undertaken since our appointment, and 'straight wrist ' only with good support.
No boxing undertaken for 1 year and 'bag work' has been very light.
I recently took 3 weeks off from training which did not alleviate the symptoms, but in fact, seemed to make them worse.
I would appreciate your opinion and advice on these issues.
Thank you. Sew
I would appreciate a further appointment, retest of my hand and the opportunity to discuss my symptoms in more detail.
Thanks sew
Would it be possible to arrange another appointment as the numbness in my arm is of great concern to me and is starting to affect my sleep.
Thanks SEW
Appointment booked and letter in the post - did we ever manage to get it injected? JB
The distribution of symptoms in the forearm strikes me as a little odd. Did we ever get as far as injecting it - I seem to have no record of any injection having been done? Most people find that rest improves CTS but it's hard to say much more than that. I think the key issue is... overall, are you content with the current state of your hands or do we need to do anything else about them or revisit the diagnosis? JB
