Injection today - wise to cancel tennis lesson tomorrow?
I didn't mention tennis to the guy (hand surgeon) I saw, but information I have read online tonight suggests a possible link between CTS and tennis.
Injection site quite sore now. Too early to say if symptoms have been eased.
Any advice? Tennis lesson planned for tomorrow, 24hrs after the injection.
Thanks in advance.
That's helpful, thanks. I'll wait to see if my wrist still sore in the morning.
(Yes, I found the posts from tennis players).
Am keen to see if the injection is effective for me - keen to avoid surgery!
Just took the plaster off and there's a bruise around the injection site - no wonder it's sore!
You do sometimes get a bit of bruising - I think it just depends whether they hit any small blood vessels on the way in with the needle - random luck. JB
A couple of the very early posts on this forum are form keen tennis players - did you find those? Tennis has not been identified as a clear cause or contributing factor for CTS and I generally advise people only restrict activity after injection for as long as it feels uncomfortable. If it feels OK in the morning I would go ahead and play, if it's still sore I would give the lesson a miss. JB
