Steroid injection
I had the steroid injection 2 weeks ago. I still have numbness in my index finger and have only noticed a small about 20% difference in my hand. Is this too early to know whether the injection has worked. Thank you
Thank you Jeremy. I have added a new severity score and will do as you suggest in 2 and 4 weeks
Hi Jeremy
I have just completed a new severity score. Although the injection in my right wrist had reduced the numbness and pain for about 4 months it is now just as bad again. I did ring for an appointment but was wondering how long it will be before I hear anything.
Many thanks

I've been at a conference all week - email me a reminder and I should catch up over the weekend. JB
For a grade 4 case I would give it a bout 6 weeks before concluding that we have reached as good a response as we are going to get. At that pont we will have to decide whether to re-inject or operate. It's a good idea to add a new symptom severity score to the website now and then in another 2 weeks and 4 weeks so we can see if there is a trend. JB
