locking thumb and tiff forefinger

Hi, I have had the steroid injection in both hands last november and have been very pleased with the results. However in my left hand which was the more severe I have a very stiff thumb that locks in two places and my forefinger hardly bends. I was hoping to arrange for surgery during the month of August as I am a teacher starting a new job in september. Could you let me know how next to proceed. regards R. Neal

It's usually quieter at the start of the clinic - if you can make it by 8:45 when I usually arrive that would be good but any time up to 1:0o pm will work - we will just squeeze in a quick look at your hand amongst all the other CTS patients. JB
That stiffness of the thumb sounds very like trigger finger but I would need to see it to be sure. Can you drop in to the clinic on Thursday so that I can take a look at it? JB
