So that's about 3 weeks - not too bad for the time of year I guess. If you really need to be quicker than that and don't mind the journey to Canterbury we could do it for you on Thursday 13th June instead. JB

Thanks for the offer of an earlier appointment at Canterbury but the local health centre is more convenient for me to attend so I will keep the date to 1st July.

Very good. They will do a follow up assessment for me 6 weeks later too but you are welcome to report back through this forum too. JB

Hello. I had the steroid injection on 1st July at Dover Health Centre. Although the hand does feel a bit improved. I still get trouble when I do knitting. It is a problem holding the knitting needle for more than a minute without the symptoms of pins and needles and pain in the hand returning. I have to shake the hand to relieve the symptoms. I presume it would be best to go ahead with the operation you have already planned for me for 10th August so that I can continue with my hobby of sewing and knitting pain free in my retirement to Australia where I also would like to go cycling with my grandchildren and feel that to grip handlebars of a bike may also exacerbate the problem. That probably is the only realistic option, despite the CTS being relatively mild in electrical terms. You will have to let me know how it turns out from Australia. JB
