Losing my grip again!
Hi Dr Bland, I'm should have come on here sooner! I had steroid injections in December when I was eight and a half months pregnant, because during my pregnancy I had gone from 1.5 to5 on the scale. The injections worked great, the baby a girl called Grace was nearly two weeks late and arrived on Christmas Day. The last month I have been getting the pins and needles back but I was hoping it was going to stay bearable but now I'm starting to lose sensation in the side of my thumb like last time and I'm losing my grip somewhat, though that may be the baby! Are steroid injections going to be a viable option again? Thanks Charlotte
I'm off down to Devon in the Afternoon, would it be first thing in the morning? Sorry I know I sound like I'm being fussy!
Yes it will have to be early in the morning as I have to do a clinic in London in the afternoon. I'll send out an appointment letter. JB
You could certainly try a second injection but as the CTS was quite severe last time I would be inclined to check the nerve conduction studies first. We could check them on the morning of Friday 30th August if you are free? JB
