Pain
I had op on Friday last week but my hand is more painful as the days go by, I thought it would start feeling a bit better by now. Is this normal?

Post operative carpal tunnel wound complications can vary from minor pain, itching or slight inflammation to full blown wound dehiscence (splitting open due to stitches coming undone or breaking) or infection. If you are worried see the practice nurse at your GP or if you can't get an appointment and your symptoms are really troublesome go to A&E. Even wounds that look quite servere 3 days after surgery often look fine at 2 weeks. Is it just wound pain that is causing you concern? How are your carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms?
The pain is not too bad today, better than yesterday. I have not had any numbness or pain in the operated hand which is fantastic, can sleep better at night it's just the left hand causing problems now so can't wait to have that hand done. My follow up appt with mr smith is not till December though, so looks like it's not going to be done before Xmas like I was hoping.

Also there is a hole in middle and you can see inside the hand, don't know if something has happened to stitch
