Neck and Shoulder pain

Hello, I'm due to have surgery on my left hand in a couple of weeks. The pain and numbness has got progressively worse very quickly. I wear a split at night however i still wake up with pain / tingling / burning. Last night was particularly bad and today my shoulder, elbow and neck ache. I also have pain and tingling in my thumb and hand which is quite unusual through the day. Is it normal to have this pain in neck, shoulder and elbow with CT? - Sarah
It's not that unusual.... but at the same time there is no law saying that you cannot develop a second problem in the neck or shoulder on top of your CTS so it's always wise to keep an open mind. Hopefull the whole syndrome will clear after operation. JB
