Two years after injection
Dr Bland, I would like to say how thankful I am for everything you have done for me!
About 2 and a half years ago I had an appointment for operation, but just a few days before,I found out that i was pregnant so I chose to have both hands treated with the steroid injections and about 2 years ago I had my left hand treated for a second time. After giving birth everything was quite ok (not perfect), I resumed working 6 months ago. I only work 3 days, but for long hours and drive for around one hour in both directions. Despite getting those 4 days off, the symptoms have returned. In the beginning it was just pins and needles while I am driving, then more while I am working as well. Recently i am feeling pain almost constantly both day and night in both hands.
After such a long gap we should test you again and have a discussion about what to do. I'll send out an appointment next time I have access to the appointment system. JB
I am so sorry that I am so late with the feedback after the last injections.
In the beginning I was not quite sure whether both of my hands are going to be better or stay the same as they were.
A few weeks after that I was feeling much better, even if it was still a bit painful. About a couple of months after I have been injected, I couldn't feel any of the symptoms I've had before.
At the moment only from time to time I discover a minor pain or/and pins and needles while driving or hand sewing. I am driving a little bit more than 10 hours a week so I think my hands condition at the moment is really great.
Thank you so much Dr Bland!
Thanks very much for the update. I suspect that's a natural remission rather than the efect of steroids but either way if you are happy then so am I. JB
Is it possible to book an appointment for next week (Thursday or Friday) and probably to have both wrists injected?
Thank you!
