Need to discuss possible surgery.
Sorry for not contacting you sooner, after our discussion the other week and as things have not improved I was wondering if I could come in for a chat soon to sort out my next move.
I have a few questions to ask prior to this, Will I need to have another test done before I see you? Will I be able to talk with your before making my final decision and if another steroid injection is needed will I be able to have one whilst I am there?
I will be available from Wednesday morning, all day Thursday and Friday of this week. I have nothing at the moment booked in for the week after.

I do believe it to be worse than it was in September as I am restricted so much more on what I can and can't do, so I feel the need to do something about it, I m keeping the pain level down with ibuprofen...
Will the injection if I decide to have another to relief the pain affect me having surgery and if I decide to have surgery how long will I have to wait, as I will need to make sure I have my families needs covered before the surgery is performed...Sorry if I sound a little blunt and to the point got lot on my mind at the moment...

Sounds as though we had better schedule a re-test for a day when we are able to inject as well if necessary. There is a gap on Thursday morning if you are free at 9:30? JB

OK I've put it in the diary. An appointment letter will go out but probably won't reach you in time so just turn up. JB
On consulting my Dad I am not going to be able to make the 5th of April, so can you please re-book my consultation and my surgery appointment....

That takes us to the 10th May. A new appointment letter will go in the post but you will still have to call the Ashford office to be offered a choice. JB
That's fine, on the letter will that give me the time and the date and time of the pre-operative visit and the date when the stitches need to be removed. I will call Ashford as soon as I have the letter with all the details on it.

Just phoned the number you gave me at Ashford (0300 123 4419) to book in at Herne Bay and I was told that they don't do them only the injections....
Is there another number I can phone or is the appointment on the 10th May a definite and that I don't have to do anything else other than turn up..

The booking is definite - and I said the girls in the office in Ashford would be confused over this. Don't worry about it, just turn up for surgery. JB
I think quite a lot depends on how it feels to you in comparison to how it was in September. You could complete another severity questionnaire on the website here for comparison to help with that. If it feels much worse I would be inclined to test again, otherwise we can work with the existing results for now. If you do decide to come to us and have it re-injected then you will of course be able to talk to me and in any case you can chatter to me as much as you like on here or via email. I'm just back from a conference in Berlin so I don't really know what the booking of the clinics is like until I get in tomorrow morning. JB
