tried the splint

Hello,
After my appointment in Canterbury on Monday 10th March 2014, I have tried the splint on the left hand for a month now and it is still burning and numb when I wake on the morning, I think I would like to have the operation please. Could you please give me information on how to go about this. Many thanks Mrs Christine Gilhooly

It probably makes more sense to try one steroid injection first. If you are lucky that might be all that is needed and it may never come to surgery, and if you are not lucky and it comes back then the response to injection helps to predict how it is likely to respond to surgery. Injection is also a lot less risky and more convenient than surgery and your CTS was fairly mild when we tested it last month. JB

We can do that for you on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday this week here in Canterbury or we can arrange for it be done at Estuary View Medical Centre in Whitstable though that might take a little longer depending on when Vernon Brown is available - when are you free? JB

Would it be possible to have a late afternoon appointment tomorrow please?
